Commercial Concrete Core Drilling in Toronto & GTA

Precision concrete openings for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, sprinkler and mechanical installations.

GPR Scanning and Core Drilling in One Visit

DRM Cutting can scan the area first, mark safer drilling zones, and complete the core drilling during the same visit when the scope is clear.

Fewer site visits, fewer unknowns, cleaner handoff for the next trade.

Detailed Information

We handle commercial and industrial projects using high-torque, water-cooled drilling rigs for controlled dust and precise openings.

Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Scarborough, North York, Brampton, Richmond Hill, and the broader GTA.

Hole diameters from 1 inch up to 12 inches; vertical, horizontal and inverted drilling; wet drilling for dust control and bit cooling; reinforced concrete drilling where cutting reinforcement is permitted by the project requirements.

Core Drilling FAQs

Everything you need to know before you start your project.

For suspended slab coring, we plan the work from both sides when access is available. The area below is isolated, and the concrete core is caught or controlled before it drops. Wet coring water and slurry are collected with containment and wet vacuum cleanup to protect finished areas, parked vehicles, equipment, and active spaces below.

Core drilling is a precise method of cutting perfectly round holes in concrete, asphalt, masonry, or stone using a diamond-tipped drill bit.

Yes. When there is a risk of hidden rebar, conduit, post-tension cables, radiant lines, or other embedded items, we can scan the area before drilling. GPR scanning helps identify safer drilling zones and reduce the risk of blind coring on commercial slabs, suspended floors, parking garages, and occupied buildings.

Core drilling is commonly used for utility access, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, anchor bolt installation, and testing materials.

We can drill holes ranging from 1 inch to 12 inches in diameter, and deeper using barrel extensions if needed.

Yes, core drilling can be performed in any orientation — vertical, horizontal, or inverted — depending on the project.

Core drilling is a low-vibration method compared with impact demolition. The drilling location and surrounding conditions must still be reviewed before work begins. Reinforcement or post-tension cables must not be cut unless specifically reviewed and authorized.

We primarily use wet core drilling to reduce dust and cool the bit, but dry drilling is available when water use is restricted.
