Hyperscale Data Center Foundation Mat — Concrete Cutting Removal (Wire Sawing)

Project overview
A live hyperscale data center required the controlled removal of a thick foundation mat (approx. 50 m × 30 m, 1.5–2.0 m deep). Work was executed adjacent to high-value server rooms where percussive demolition wasn’t an option due to vibration and impact risk.

Why wire sawing
We used wire sawing and coring to keep the work non-percussive, predictable, and segment-controlled—especially important with heavy embedded steel and encased equipment inside the mass.

What we delivered

  • Diamond coring to establish cut paths and access where required
  • Wire sawing to divide the mat into manageable, lift-ready blocks
  • Continuous segmentation planning to match crane/handling and site logistics
  • Direct loading into large dump trucks for haul-out (no on-site stockpiling)

Result
Concrete cutting removal was completed over two months with controlled sequencing and block-by-block haul-out—built for a live-site environment where impact and surprises are unacceptable.
